Ellen hutson challenge

I woke up this morning thinking of nothing but this hydrangea stamp. I used the tiffany blue because it is one of my favorite colors but also because it is the main focal color in the challenge. Great choice Ellen!  

I used the gold shimmer water color from Gansai Tambi starry colors (kuretake)

Farewell my Beautiful Unity friends!

I am quite fond of all of you, who support me and my endeavors in the crafty world! I just don't know what I would do without all of you as friends and fellow crafters!

I have created a picture frame with some of the free stamps I won on last weeks GIU!
Yes, their shipping is that fast! Really incredible!  I used all stamps from Unity, Click link to go right to it! Happy Shopping and Stamping ladies!

I started out with a blank frame. Painted it white and distressed the seems a little. I nailed in a clip for photos or anything you want to add. Then I put some 1/2 inch rope on bottom and hot glued it on. I used pigmented ink on the flowers and Nuvo embossing ink over the pigment. Its a great medium. Then I let it dried.
Its great the pigment is a medium to help the embossing stick and the embossing helps the pigment seal so its a win, win match!

GIU day 4

Fear Nothing

I have a lot going on with this card! First I used distress ink as watercolor on white card stock from paper trey

Then I added white paint spots with Canvas corps white metallic high impact paint and outlines them with a black thin point sharpie

I used a second piece of white paper to stamp the whale image from  UNITY 
I then water colored it and added glossy accent after it was dry. Then I semi dried the glossy accent and stamped it with rubber floral stamp to make it have texture and create dimension.

I added the ship and colored it with spectrum noir markers

I added with just a touch of glue a couple sequin to add flair and sparkle!
 then I added it onto the card stock and then backed it again with black card stock.
I also created  a phrase on right hand corner.

I have
been creating art since I was
about 5. I discovered
jewelry first actually, but I
remember spending every
summer saving money to buy
a years worth of stationary.
The first sign I had of my love
for paper is stationary and
always sending love notes to
others! Then when I was
five and it was my first year
of girl scouts, They had a
class on embossing! I was
hooked! There was never a
chance I would change my
mind again! Over the years
so much has changed and
expanded in the world of paper.


Thank God we still have
companies that realize how much
we love stamping and it hasn't
died out! Unity is one of the great
companies out there supporting
our desire to share love and kindness
through the snail mail!

Day 2 GIU

Sharing love Universally

I am so gracious to have a family like Unity! I love all they have to offer but even more so, the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful woman and men. I love that we get to share who we are as individuals with one another and also with those who don't know us.
This was a card created for a child that Angela had heard of and we all just jumped in to send her love. That is what Unity is all about. Coming together as a whole and sharing nothing but love.
I Just want to take a moment to tell all of you, friends near and far...
Happy Valentines Day! I really hope, no matter where you are in life,  you feel love. I have to say when I think of Valentines day I think of the recent paper I wrote for Church and our community about love letters to Jesus. He is Love and shows us love daily. When you aren't feeling so loved or even feeling down, look to God and know He Is your father and He loves you far beyond any kind of chocolates, cards or Flowers.
Also know that we are a community too and love to share prayers, thoughts, crafts and Coffee! So don't be afraid to Join in at Unity show and Tell and make new friends!

I started this card by using yellow card stock from papertrey and a piece of black too. I cut it into a 4x4 size.  Then I used Ken Oliver's colorburst and watercolor paper to create this vibrant background.
I heat set it and stamped it with this beautiful Angie girl from UNITY

Then I took a heart stencil and outlined her with yellow hearts. I created the yellow paste with golden heavy paste and yellow mist from Tattered Angels line!

Growing in Unity day 1

Words cant express how excited I am to be a growing in unity girl for the second year! I t was only August when I did mine last and I had the best support from women around the globe after my mother had just passed away. I had help with blogs and help with projects when I couldn't get the them. I have a wonderful support system from the women in my life from Unity. That's what Unity stands for. We have all definitely picked up the love and compassion of a wonderful company, spreading the joy and excitement of fellow artist.  I choose to share a gift set of cards I made that are very simple but elegant. I made them for a friend a late Christmas present! Real late! She loves sparkle and she is very girly! She is a very inspiring woman to me and I appreciate the love she shares with everyone. I just wanted to share love back.

 I used a variety of products. On the first card, the feather, I stamped the image with black ink, colored it with spectrum noir markers only on the leafs, flowers and heart. Then I added ice stickles on the feather only. I really makes it pop of the page.

The second card is a ballet dress form, I made this one extra sparkly by adding glittery embossing all over the entire image! I really wanted this to stand out! Then when it was still wet I added some more of my Martha Stewart glitter! A whole lotta sparkle!

And last but not least I made a card with woman of different colors and the same shoe. representing the outward appearance my be different but we are all the same on the inside. God sees us as individuals but we are all one body and of one God. I gave these cards to a woman who is not only a teacher, a pastors wife and a missionary! They represent all of who she is and I adore that about her.

Make It Monday #275: Stamped Dangles

Make it Monday number 1

I really had a great time doing this challenge! It forced me to use my ink well pen

something I have wanted to do but I feel so intimidated by writing with it!

This is one of my favorite sets by Papertrey. I have a friend who told me two months ago to order their paper and I have to say I will never order cardstock anywhere else! It is amazing!

I used distress in on the background and tattered angles mist for the splotches.

I used ten different glitters, stickles and embossing all over the card!
